Mother of two sons, maquiladora worker. Viciously murdered in her house on January 26, 2001.

My daughter had 2 young sons. On the 26 th of January, 2001 she was killed in the presence of her baby son who was found in his cradle. My daughter defended herself. Her killers left fingerprints all over the house, on the door, on the stairs up to the bedroom, where they left her. The prosecutor's office lost the evidence and closed the investigation. They have always refused to give help to her children because they say that this was not a sexual crime.

  I asked for a copy of the case file. It was denied to me until February, 2004 when I joined the organization and demanded the right to have her file.
